Flagpole replacement project needs donations

The Eastlake Veterans Memorial Committee has begun fundraising efforts to replace the flagpoles and veterans plaques on the Boulevard of 500 Flags. The goal is $57,600 and any donation is welcome.

The poles and a number of the plaques were installed in 1995 and have been weather-beaten over the past 15 years. T&D Fabrication already has donated 20 poles for the MIAs. To donate, make checks payable to the City of Eastlake Memorial Fund and drop off or mail to the City of Eastlake, 35150 Lake Shore Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095. Attn: Finance Department. Donations are tax deductible.

For more details or information, call Dennis Morley at 440-951-3934 or Joe D'Ambrosio at 440-946-4861.
