Captains Drawing for Eastlake Residents
The News-Herald, March 4, 2010

It’s time for Eastlake residents who want a shot at loge seats for a Lake County Captains game this summer to enter a drawing.

The city recently negotiated use of a loge at Classic Park which it will lend to winners of the drawing for a majority of the Captains games, Mayor Ted Andrzejewski said.

“We will pick out three families for each game and they will be given five tickets each,” the mayor said.
“You must be an Eastlake resident because it’s our residents who are paying for the stadium.”

Andrzejewski said when residents come to the mayor’s office at City Hall to fill out a drawing ticket, they must have proof of residency with them as well.

“In mid-March, we’ll pick out the names for games in April, and then in April, we’ll pick out the names for May and so on,” the mayor said, adding people can only win once and the tickets are just for the seats, so food and beverages are not included.

A few of the remaining games will be used for local businesses to bolster economic development by thanking them for staying in Eastlake, while also showcasing the city to prospective businesses that want to move into the city.

The mayor’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
